This workshop focuses on developing your communication skills to reduce barriers and disparities in access to and delivery of healthcare services.
The goal of this experiential, hands-on workshop is to support healthcare professionals in communicating and listening more effectively. We will cover the four fundamental steps of nonviolent communication: observing without judging, expressing feelings when observing, expressing and clarifying one's needs to the feelings one observes, and expressing specific requests.
Collaborative communicationskills are examined and practiced to develop strategies to meet all people’s fundamental needs in a conversation in a healthcare setting.

The Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) has accredited this workshop for SHRM credits.
