Bias "is just an element of the human condition" Merrick Garland

Merrick Garland hearing: Sen. Kennedy presses Garland on meaning of implicit bias, asking if it means "I'm a racist but I don't know I'm a racist?"

Mr. Garland gives a perfect answer to the Senators question. The Senator asserts that saying someone has bias is a pejorative statement. It is not and Mr. Garland makes that clear because EVERYONE has unconscious bias. If everyone has it, saying someone is expressing it is not pejorative.

And I would say that all human beings need to develop tools to see if they are expressing unconscious bias so that they can be their own judge. The Senator asserts there is a winner and I believe that is not the case.
